Volksworld Show 2026 (part 1 of 4)

The Article I read said, "The worlds best air cooled magazine (Volksworld magazine) is preparing to bring you the best air-cooled VW's in it's new home. For 2026, the show returns to the South of England Showground in West Sussex, a spacious venue with a great combination of indoor and outdoor space. Some of the finest creations to have rolled out of a factory in Wolfsburg will gather at the South of England Showground to create one of the biggest and best gatherings of Volkswagens anywhere in the world! Get ready for Volksworld 2026 to see the very best Beetles. Karmann Ghia's,T1/T2 campers and busses, plus all other air cooled Volkswagens". After reading that description of a forthcoming VW show how could I not check it out? and the best bit was dogs were allowed as the majority of the show is outdoors, so on Sunday 22nd March Suzie and I jumped in the bus and drove the 85 miles to the show.

Driving around the M25,  this early
bay that came flying past me as
though I was stood still !

A bit further around the M25 I noticed this
early bug was going around the same
speed as me, so I tucked in behind
it for a few miles.

After parking up at the show, I queued
up with everyone else waiting to get into
the show, the sheer number and quality
of VW's entering the show was crazy
.

This gorgeous bug was parked up in the
public car park.

Once in the show the first club stand was
the 'Split Screen Van Club'

As usual the Split Screen club put on a
good display.

As did Early Bay club.

The Wolfsburg Bus Crew also had a very
impressive club stand.

Simon was on the Wolfsburg Bus Crew's
club stand with his lovely 1961 single cab
split screen.

Hand painted logo's on the super straight
body.

My buddy, Dan, was at the show with
his awesome Type 147 Fridolin.

Another buddy, Jimmy was there in his
lovely 1967 split.

Moving inside into one of the hangers. I
love the paint fade on this bug.

Loved the look of this slammed bug.

How low?

To finish this weeks blog review we have
this stunning gold metal flake beach
buggy.

So that was the first of 4 reviews about the Volksworld Show 2026. Next week will be part 2 where you can see plenty more quality air-cooled Volkswagens so be sure to come back next week.
