Wolfsburg Bus Crew's 10th Birthday Bash (part 3 of 3)

Over the weekend of 5th - 7th September 2025 the 'Wolfsburg Bus Crew' held their annual crew camp out and Birthday bash, held at the Fir Tree Campsite in Banbury, Oxfordshire. This is the clubs 10th Birthday bash. The Wolfsburg Bus Crew is a club based in the U.K. (but they also have members worldwide) for owners of Volkswagen split screens, bay windows and T25's. The club attend numerous VW shows and events all year round and normally arrange a meeting place on the day so all the members attending can meet up and all cruise to the show together. The club is run by a guy called Rich, who works tirelessly to ensure the club runs smoothly, he's also responsible for the club merchandise, contacting numerous VW companies to ask for freebies for the club raffles and arranging club camping at shows and just about everything else you can think of. Check out their Facebook page here: Wolfsburg Bus Crew | Facebook  I couldn't attend the camp out for the whole weekend so I drove the 50 miles or so to the Birthday Bash on the Saturday morning with my sidekick, Suzie. The review continues as I wander around the campsite with some of the members emerging from their campers after a heavy night.!

Rich had arranged for Dave Sharpe from

Raptorxotics to pop along and give a talk
about about his snakes, lizards and
spiders.

Dave conducted his interactive display
of exotic animals if front of the marquee.

Just one of the lizards, the exotic animals
got mixed reactions from the crew
 members.

Is that a snake around his waist..

Yep! A huge yellow Python.

Lovely old 'Jeans' Beetle parked up next
to my bus.

Cyncyano's Procecco bar went down well
with all the members on the Friday and
Saturday nights.

Suzie just chilling outside the bus as I
have a cuppa.

Just 3 of the raffle prizes on offer, made
by crew member Gary.

I was trying to get a photo of them
changing colour..

The 'Best Bus awards' hand made and
painted by Stinky Pete's Signwriting.

Stephen won the Peoples choice
award, here with Dave (on the left)
and Rich.

I can't remember the name of the guy
that won the long distance award, but
I do remember he came over with his
mum all the way from Ireland.

The long distance award.

The gorgeous 'Buddy' won the Koolest K-9
and took home a hand painted bowl.

So that was the Wolfsburg Bus Crew's 10th Birthday Bash and Camp Out for 2025. Overall another fantastic weekend with plenty to see and do all weekend. Rich (and his helpers) done a great job organising everything from the campsite, to the evening entertainment, to the food and drink venders, to the toilet hire and the exotic animal display, what more could you possibly want. Oh, not to mention loads of cool air-cooled busses and friendly WBC members, so if your a member of the WBC I recommend you go to the 11th Birthday Bash as you won't be disappointed. And if your not yet a WBC member, head over to their Facebook page and join! Next week's blog review is a 2 part review all about the Chearsley Classic Car Show where you'll be able to see lots of British and American classic cars and bikes along with air-cooled VW's so be sure to come back next week.
