Chiltern Hills Classic Car Show 2026 (part 1 of 4)

This weeks blog entry is the first instalment about the annual Chiltern Hills Vintage Vehicle Rally which is a one day show for classic and vintage vehicles (including old Volkswagen camper vans) and is organised by the Game Club to help raise money for local charitable causes. The rally is a well established event which allows owners of classic and vintage vehicles to gather together in the glorious Buckinghamshire countryside. This event took place on 17th May. The venue is at Weedon Park, Weedon Hill near Aylesbury and is a fantastic location for this great one day show which attracts well over 1000 vehicles of all descriptions and the Game Club had also organised: Children's rides / slides, a fun dog show, trade stands, an auto jumble, a beer tent, speciality teas, a pig roast, burgers and ice cream stands. I have been attendending this event for over 10 years and it's one show that I really enjoy due to the huge diversity of the vehicles. Approaching the show the traffic started 
to queue, in front of me was this bright
yellow customised BMW.

Entering the field, the show looks so far
away.

In the queue to the show area some of
the classic cars started to misbehave and
break down. This MK1 Ford Capri needed
to be pushed to the marshal point.

As did this TVR.

This '59 Cadillac was huge and very
bright.

Everyone loves an early Mustang, right?

Dramatic sky but the sun shone down on
the Volvo P1800 and the MGB GT.

Ford GT40

Very clean and tidy T25.

Lovely straight T2 with colour matched
 'Swamp Cooler' air con unit.

It's not all about shiny classics.

These Triumph 2000's were common place
on the roads when I was a kid.

Q. Where do you park something that big?
A. Anywhere you want!.

This restored Bond Bug looked great.

VW Golf pick up was cool.

I've never seen one of these Renault
Spider's on the road, they must be very
rare.

The 2.0L engine is shoe-horned into the
rear.

Errm...

Yep, that's fur.

It was all in aid of a cat rescue charity.

These Mini Moke's are getting quite sought
after now a days.

This show just gets bigger and bigger
every year.

It's not just cars at the show, there was
a great display of agricultural machinery.

This Fordson E27N Major was produced
from 1945 - 1952.

I don't think, this is what you think it is.

Here's that BMW that I followed enroute 
to the show.

This was an honest looking 1957 Chevrolet
3100 truck.

This Model 'A' highboy roadster complete
with 24 stud flathead motor rumbled by.

To end this weeks review we have this
gorgeous Ford Falcon Sprint. This car
inspired Ford to produce the Mustang.
