Blackthorn Classic Car Show (part 1 of 2)

Blackthorn is a small picturesque village in Oxfordshire, and every year they hold the 'Blackthorn Classic Car Show'. This event started about 10 years ago and has gone from strength to strength by getting bigger and better, with more and more vehicles attending the show. There are the normal attractions including food stalls, trade stalls, kids entertainment and a rally experience where you get to ride in a rally car. I like this show as it's a laid back show and there is no entry fee so you can just arrive and park up, then relax.

(I've just checked out the Blackthorn Classic Car Show' webpage and to my surprise, down the bottom of the page is a small gallery showing the diversity of classic cars, and a photo of my bus is on there! Check it out:) Blackthorn Classic Car Show | Blackthorn, Bicester, UK

My bus parked up at Blackthorn.

The lovely Ford Pop was parked up in
the row in front of me. I had a Ford Pop
hot rod many years ago so I am always
drawn to a hot rodded Ford pop.

The classic 70's look, jacked up rear, wide
rear fenders and a Jag rear axle.

The teardrop tail lights has some cool
lenses in them.

A lovely airbrushed boot lid finishes off
the classic '70's look.

The Jenson 541R, produced from 1957 -
1960 and it had a 4.0L 243ci straight six
engine. At the time, Autocar magazine
tested the 541R and they said it was the
fastest 4 seater car they had ever tested!

Triumph Vitesse.

A wood dashboard with a wood rim
steering wheel adds class to the Vitesse.

Sunbeam Tiger, designed in part by
Carroll Shelby. The 289ci 4.7L engine
was very similar to the V8 Carroll Shelby
had in his AC Cobra.

Lovely interior of the Sunbeam Tiger.

My bus parked next to a trio of Triumphs.

Volvo P1800

The gorgeous interior of the P1800. Red
tuck and roll vinyl seats and lashings of
chrome.

My mate Dave used to own this gorgeous
'32 Ford 3 window coupé.

Lovely pinstriped deck lid.

I do like a bay window panel van...

..especially when they are this clean and
straight

I can't resist taking a photo of my bus.

Cool bumper stickers.

This Ford Capri looked clean and sleek.

So that was part 1 of this review. Part 2 of the Blackthorn show will be next week, where you can see plenty more classic cars and bikes.
