Chalgove Classic Car meet. (part 2 of 2)

 For this year only: In previous years I would attend a show / rally and then post a review about the show the following weekend. However this year I have been too busy, so for this year only, I will post reviews of all the shows / rallies I attended over the summer months throughout the winter.

On Monday 5th May 2025 I attended the Chalgrove May Day Festival Classic Car Show, an event organised in memory of Matthew Marriage, and held on the recreation ground in the pretty village of Chalgrove, Oxon. I wasn't sure what to expect from this local (ish) show, but I was pleasantly surprised. The free festival included the classic car / bike show along with food stalls, and the show ground was right next to the Lamb pub where you could get some liquid refreshments. The show had a great variety of classics from American muscle cars to the best of British classic cars and numerous bikes of all ages. The review continues as I walk around the show admiring all the vehicles.

Thomas Marriage brought along Matthew's
(his late sons) beautiful bug. The car was
 hand painted with brushes, but you'd
never guess as the finish is amazing.

The family use the car as a tribute to
 their late son, and now use it to raise
money for charity.

Aylesbury VW Owners (AVWO) also
attended the show. Had I known they
 were going along I would have joined
them for a cruise over. This is Andy's

So that was the Chalgrove Classic car show, overall a very enjoyable day out. The show had a great selection of classic cars and bikes, and it was held at a great location. The weather was good, which always helps, and judging by the number of members of the public that I saw I'm sure a decent amount of money was raised for charity.
