Chearsley Classic Car Show 2025 (part 1 of 2)

Every year the picturesque village of Chearsley in Buckinghamshire hold a classic and vintage fun day in order to raise funds for the Chearsley Cricket Club junior section, and this year was no different. Now in it's 14th year, and I must have been attending this show for about 13 of those years, and it just gets better and better. The car show attracts around 500 vehicles on the day and there is everything you could imagine. From classic cars to military vehicles, motorcycles and commercial vehicles and agricultural vehicles. Attractions at the show include a fun fair, live music, hot and cold food stalls, a bar and plenty of art and craft stalls. The organisers normally arrange a fly by from a WW2 Spitfire, but unfortunately this couldn't happen this year. This years show was arranged for Sunday 14th September 2025. The forecast was good so Suzie and I headed off to drive the 10 miles deep into the Buckinghamshire countryside.

My bus parked up at the Chearsley
classic car show.

I arrived first, but shortly after these two
VW's arrived. The organisers try where
possible to group vehicle makes together.

I don't think the owners of the two other
VW's knew each other, but it was nice to
meet them both and have some air-
cooled company.

A lovely old pro-street Vauxhall Viscount.

I don't know what size that motor is,
suffice to say, it's big.

Karmann Ghia Sportster, I think this was
a reproduction, albeit a very nice one.

A gorgeous interior, even down to the
Porsche carpet.

A porsche 356 B coupĂ©, this one I think
was the real deal.

I had one of these when I was about 18,
except mine was a four door. I'd love to
own another one .

Unusual grille mascot.

Volvo P1800 a true classic.

A go anywhere Unimog.

A red double decker bus, you don't get
any more classic that that.

This is a 1956 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud
with custom coachwork by Cooper & Co.

This car is part of a very limited production
run, with only 21 similar coach-built units
created and is often called a 'Hooper
Empress' due to the custom body style.

Lovely old race ready 'C' type Jaguar.

Double take, not the same car as above,
but another ready to race around the circuit
'C' type Jaguar.

A pair of series 2, E-Type Jaguar
roadsters. I thought the dark green colour
suited the car well.

So that was part one of two about the Chearsley Classic Car Show. Next week will be part two where you will be able to see plenty more British and American classic cars as well as more air-cooled vehicles, so be sure to come back next week.
