Volksworld Show 2026 (part 4 of 4)

 The Article I read said, "The worlds best air cooled magazine (Volksworld magazine) is preparing to bring you the best air-cooled VW's in it's new home. For 2026, the show returns to the South of England Showground in West Sussex, a spacious venue with a great combination of indoor and outdoor space. Some of the finest creations to have rolled out of a factory in Wolfsburg will gather at the South of England Showground to create one of the biggest and best gatherings of Volkswagens anywhere in the world! Get ready for Volksworld 2026 to see the very best Beetles. Karmann Ghia's,T1/T2 campers and busses, plus all other air cooled Volkswagens". After reading that description of a forthcoming VW show how could I not check it out? and the best bit was dogs were allowed as the majority of the show is outdoors, so on Sunday 22nd March Suzie and I jumped in the bus and drove the 85 miles to the show. The review continues as I wander around checking out all the cool VW's.

Amazing show car.

Gorgeous early split rear window bug.

Rag top, grey paint and chunky tyres it
doesn't get much better than this.

I loved the way those rear tyres fill the
arches.

OK it's not an air cooled VW, but you've
got to love a 1966 Mustang.

A lovely clean type 34 Razor Edge.

If you like bright paint, you'd love this
lime green bug.

I do think 'Roo' bars on a bus looks good.

The photo doesn't give this bus the justice
it needs, as it was so clean and straight.

Not a £30,000 show winner but it's on
the road and being enjoyed and that's
what it's all about.

A great variety of air cooled vehicles.

This stunning Puma GT caught my eye.
The Puma was a Brazilian built sports
car, built between 1964 - 1989.

The lightweight body was often compared
to the Ferrari Dino or the Opel GT.

The puma's body sits on a beetle floorpan
and uses the VW air cooled engine. These
GT's are very rare in Europe.

So that was the Volksworld Show for 2026, overall a very impressive show. The sheer number of vehicles of all models across the air cooled range was amazing. My blog photos showed just a small selection of the vehicles. The location was very spacious (much better than the old location for this show!) with a lot more vehicles outside on show and the lovely weather helped make this a great day out. I'm looking forward to next year already! Next week the blog is all about the Wolfsburg Bus Crew's spring meet at Wendover Woods, where you'll be able to see plenty of quality air cooled buses so be sure to come back next week.
