Brill village fun day 2024 (part 1 of 2)

Over the weekend of 28 / 29th August the village of Brill hold a fun weekend with steam rides, numerous attractions, assorted stalls and refreshments, kids area, a beer tent with over 40 real ales & ciders, street food, all day music and a classic car show. Brill village is nestled high up in the Buckinghamshire countryside, and probably most famous for it's windmill. I've been attending the Brill classic car show for many years now and it's getting bigger and better every year. There is a vast array of classic vehicles but without all the snobbery you sometimes get from classic car owners. So on the Sunday morning, Suzie and I jumped in the bus and headed off. Brill is only about 13 miles from my hometown so this really is a local show.

To see all my other blog entries, go to ‘My Blog Archive’ to the left of this page. Simply click on an arrow for a particular year, then click on an arrow for a particular month, this will then give you a drop down menu for all the blog entries for that month.

My bus parked up at the show.

Opposite my bus was this stunning 1200L
Beetle. This '77 model is totally original,
including original seats, rubber floor mats,
and even has the original main dealer
number plates.

I had a long chat to the owner, who is
quite local, and he was saying he
intends to keep it as original as possible.

Row upon row of cool classic cars.

Such a diverse assortment of classic
cars.

Gorgeous E-Type Jaguar.

With such a variety of makes and models
there was something there for everyone.

Very straight and very clean.

Citroen DS.

It was nice to see so many VW's at the
show.

Stunning Ford Consul Capri.

So that was this first part of the Brill Classic Car Show, the second instalment will be next week where you can see many more classic cars and bikes.
