Chearsley Classic Car Show 2024 (part 1 of 2)

Every year the village of Chearsley in Buckinghamshire hold a classic and vintage fun day in order to raise funds for the Chearsley Cricket Club junior section, and this year was no different. Now in it's 13th year I must have been attending this show for about 12 of those years, and it just gets better and better. The car show attracts around 500 vehicles on the day and there is everything you could imagine. From classic cars to military vehicles, motorcycles and commercial vehicles and farm vehicles. Attractions at the show include a fun fair, live music, food stalls, a bar and plenty of art and craft stalls. The organisers normally arrange a fly by from a WW2 Spitfire, but unfortunately this couldn't happen this year. This years show was arranged for Sunday 8th September. I had arranged to meet some friends of mine, James and Helen in their '68 beetle en route to the show so we could arrive together and park together. We arrived quite early so once parked up we had a catch up before having a wander around the show.

This 1962 (I think) Bristol had a unique
place for it's spare wheel. 

This 1964 Porsche 356c was stunning.
It's UK specification, it's a right hand drive
model with a 1558cc engine producing
75HP.

The sky blue colour is the original factory
colour.

I've seen this MK3 Cortina so many times
this year at various local shows and I will
ever get tired of seeing it.

Lovely looking '67.

 I think this stunning Porsche 356A is a
very well built replica, because the
registration plate is a 'G' which denotes
a '68/69 model, but I'm sure the production
of the 356 ended in '65. But that doesn't
matter one little bit, as it was so well put
together and using many original parts.

Such a beautiful looking car that will never
age.
