Stonor Park VW Show 2025 (part 2 of 2)

In previous years I would attend a show / rally and then post a review about the show the following weekend. However this year I have been too busy, so for this year only, I will post reviews of all the shows / rallies I attended over the summer months throughout the winter.

On Sunday 1st June, I Joined the Wolfsburg Bus Crew and attended the 40th Stonor Park VW show 2024. The event is organised by the Association of British VW Clubs and as it's 40th anniversary they plan to have an parade of VW's and include a spectacular display of vintage VW's of all descriptions, all set in the grounds of Stonor Park, Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire. The 'Crew' had organised a convoy from Beaconsfield Services, to cruise to the show but as the services are about 20 miles form my home, I decided to go straight to the show and meet them there. The blog continues as I wander around checking out all the awesome VW's.

To see all my other blog entries, go to 'My Blog Archive' to the left of this page. Simply click on an arrow for a particular year, then click on an arrow for a particular month, this will then give you a drop down menu with all the blog entries for that month.

Zoe, (who is actually the person who
imported my bus from California about
15 years ago), was at the show with
'Tink' her early bay.

Zoe's partner Julian was also there in his
 his lovely early oval beetle.

Julian's Beetle.

Julian runs 'Parts Emporium', which is the
online classic VW AutoJumble for old
Volkswagens so keeping his bug and Zoe's
bay on the road shouldn't be a problem.
You can check out Julian's vast array of
parts by clicking the link below.

A glorious sunny day in a stunning
location, deep in the Oxfordshire
country side.

Lovely patina.

Subtle bronze paint on the body of this
lovely Razor Edge, but..

..The roof on the Razor edge roof was
a work of art.

Jimmy, a member of the Wolfsburg Bus
Crew took his lovely split screen bus.
Suzie loves to photobomb my pictures.

After walking around the show for a few
hours, it was time to head back to my bus
for a short rest and a cuppa. Suzie taking
advantage of a short break.

I have always liked the all-terrain / off road
look on a bus or bug as opposed to the
slammed look that is all the trend at the
moment.

So much to look at on this super wide bug.

Radical roof chop and wide wings look
cool.

Very good use of an old beetle to make
a matching sleeping pod.

There is actually a whole lot of work that's
gone into making this a trailer.

This military themed Trekker caught my
eye.

Paul was there in his distinctive late bay.
Paul is a member of the Aylesbury VW
Owners Club.

So that was a brief look at the Association of British VW Clubs Stonor Park show for 2025. Overall a very good show, that was well laid out and in a fantastic setting. The number of vehicles grows each year, as do the trade and auto jumble stands. I can recommend this show if you get the chance, you will not be disappointed. Next week will be the first of two installments all about the Marsworth Steam Engine & Classic Car Show, where you will be able to see not only some steam engines but also some rare British and American classic cars, plenty of VW's, Bikes, Military Vehicles, Tractors and a whole lot more, so be sure to come back next week.
